Hi,

I performed language transport in my test box with Target Language Spanish (ES) and Supplement (EN). To validate my translation I went to SE63 and I peformed the following steps.

Translation > ShortText > ABAP Dictionary > Table Defination

Choosen Source language : English and Target language: Spanish

Click Edit, and SAVE the text.

Result: I got all text in english ,, no spanish.

Also after save, I have to log back in with Spanish and where I have to check translation information?

Please explain method of validation for language translation?

Regards

Srinivas

hi srinivas,

NOTE: In order to translate to spanish, you must be logged into the system in spanish. Recommend you try following menu paths in English first so you know the menu paths.

Translation --> Long Texts --> SAPScript --> Forms

Type in Form name and choose the Source and Target Languages.

Click EDIT button

You will see the various text modules that are defined that you will then need to cut and paste the various translations.

There is no automatic translation tool (other than from the pool of previously translated texts).

Kind regards,

Naveen

Hi,

I found few issues while validating our language translation.

Basically I peformed language transport ES as Target Language, EN as supplement without any issues.

For validation I performed the following stpes.

1.Login to ES client, SE63, I have choosen

Translation > Longtext > ABAP Dictionary > Table Documentation

Input table name , Source Language:Spanish

Target Language:English

I was able to view both spanish and english translation now.

But If I choose Source Language : English

Target Language : Spanish

Getting message "Table is not active".

I am little bit confusion about Source and Target languagte selection. Please help me with your valuable suggestions.

Regards

Srinivas.
