Hi
I have created a domain, say ZAnkur
Now I want to rename it to say, ZAnkur123
Can I do it? How do I go about it?

Ankur,
You can not rename the domain, you have to delete and have to create another one.

You can follow the same steps for data element and tables as I have suggested above. But please make the changes everywhere so that you dont get confused as to which table/data element/domain name you have used and where.

Hi Ankur,
You will not be able to overwrite the existing domain name but instead you can do like this.
-> Go to SE11
-> Enter the Domain as ZAnkur
-> Click on the button 'Copy' (Ctrl+F5)
-> Give the new name as ZAnkur123 and save
-> It will ask for Package name which you need to give if you want to transport this domain to say production server else select Local object.
->Now you are done with the job.
->Replace this domain in the relevant data element fields,if required.

hi ankur,
You cannot rename a existing domain. Goto se11 and put the name zankur in domain field and then click the button copy where u can put the destination target name as zankur123. This way u can create the data elements as well as tables also

Hi All,
Thanks for all the information. Of course I did not like the solution and more correctly no solution existed...
Anyways, I will try to manage with the procedures you suggested.
Thanks a lot again,
Ankur
