Hi liat,

1. If the data elements are your Z data elements,

2. then change the description of the data element itself,

(bcos u r saying that the descirption is not suitable)

3. Instead of creating new data element,

just change the description of the old one.

Hi liat

you can change your data element description if they are in ztable follow these steps:

1 go to se 11

2 open your table

3 double click on data element name

4 in next window ther is a field data element description

5 you can change this description and after activation this will reflect in se16

if they are in standard table then you have to create your own data element and assign that data domain to that element and change the description

Hope this will help you

Hi Liat,

U can make change in the description of the data element.

However, that would be reflected in all the the tables where the data element is used.

U cant selectively change the description i think..

In that case u would have to make a new data element..

Regards,

Tanveer.

HI

GOOD

AS PER YOUR REQUIREMENT YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE DESCRIPTION OF THE DATA DLEMENT.

GO TO SE11

OPEN YOUR TABLE

CLICK ON THE PARTICULAR FIELD WHOSE DESCRIPTION YOU WANT TO CHANGE

IT WILL TAKE YOU TO ANOTHER SCREEN AND THERE YOU CAN CHANGE THE DESCRIPTION OF THAT PARTICULAR FIELD.

Liat,

You can hook up a nice generic description for that field, that will be suitable for all ur tables, instead of creating another ..
