How to delete order BOM?

Hi,

Question about order bom...

I create a order bom via CU51 for a sales order. How to detete this order BOM?I tried CS62 and it was deleted successfully ,based on the prompt in status bar.  However,it still does not  allow me to delete the sales order in VA02.Here is the message I got:

Item 000010 cannot be deleted because of order bill of material

Message no. V1773

Except reject the sales order,any tips on how to delete the order BOM?(sometimes,user might create a order bom by mistake and how to delete it?)

Dear,

Please check the BOM is there in CSKB.

If sales order is not proceed yet, then you delete and create a new item.

If processed, then the item must be rejected via a reason for rejection.

yes..it is in CSKB..

when i try to delete it in VA02,I get above message...btw,the sales order is not prcoeed yet..any tips?thanks..

Hi,

It requires Archival of Object CS_BOM

Go to T-code SARA (Write , Delete ,Read, Storage system  and Management )

In WRITE stage - during defining variant details, there options to choose type of BOM to be archived.

(In your case, maintain indicator for Sales Order BOM) 

OR

Run prog  : RCSARCH1

Try n revert if useful.

I tried it but it cann't find my order bom...What's wrong?seems I have to set my order bom invalid or set a deletion flag...

How to make my order bom invalid ,so the program can archive it.?thanks..

Hi,

To make order BOM invalid -

For this , In archival itself first step u have to do is 'Pre-Processing' (i.e.setting deletion flag and indicator) ,and then WRITE (i.e.actual archival of object).

As tested,SARA can only archive and delete the order bom that is created by CS61.However, regarding order bom created via CU51,we cann't archive and delete it..any other suggestion?

or can you let me know how to make the order bom in CU52 invalid?I tried ECN,however,it can only set the valid from time ,not set it invalid in the past. thanks..

Hi,

Pls. check authorization for object C_STUE_BER (Activity 41: Delete from database).

Revert if useful.

Still analyzing further on your BOM_Archival issue.

I check the SARA log,my sales order bom is archived and deleted..

I use CSKB to set the bom to delete status and archived,deleted it via SARA.Everything goes well.

However,I get the same message when I delete the sales order in VA02..thanks very much...

Good to know that issue has been resolved.

Few additional things, I learnt about CS_BOM Archival(Order BOM).

If possible , requesting to reward the points accordingly.

Hi,Mohit:

1.create a change number (effective date is in future)

2.update order bom

3.delete it in VA02 and I still get the same message..

it doesn't work..anything need I pay special attention on it?
