Hello Monika:

ABNAN is the new  transaction for ABNA.  With ABNA you can use transaction type 400 to post capitalization in  the current year and ABNAN you cannot.

Thanks,

Dear Monika,

Transaction ABNAN does not allow post-capitalization for the same year. Usually post capitalization is used in order to enter a acquisition for former already closed fisal years. Therefore you get error message AA566 if you enter a date which is in the current fiscal year.

A post-capitalization in current fiscal year does not make sense as a post-capitalization is a write-up of APC values i.e. a posterior modification of them. This is highlighted by the error AA566 'Date entered is not in a closed fYear' that you could experience by using ABNAN.

It is not possible to post-capitalize an asset acquired in the current year with depreciation calculated. You have to use the ordinary transactions for asset acqusition. If you want to post an asset value
which should be depreciated from a different date than the acquisition and production costs of the asset in the same fiscal year, you have to create a new asset. Please read this in the documentation of 'post capitalization' which indicates that you can only use these transactions
to correct assets with historical depreciation amounts. The depreciation is then recalculated for previous years.

Best regards Bernhard

Development in this case would confirm that the original asset value
date must lie in an already closed fiscal year. !!
