Hello Community,
because searching the SAP Help was not successful i hope that YOU can help me.
For several purposes i need to know Details about the Interface(s) used in SRM to transfer
Shopping Carts to my SAP Backend (SAP ECC6). We already have SRM 4.0 in Production.
Both, SRM and also the SAP Backend-Systems are ready and running.
I have a Documentation about the SRM- and Backend-Customizing written by the Consultant
that did the Customizing for this System several Years ago. The Docomentation in general is
very good, but....unfortunately there are no Informations in my Documentation regarding
Fieldmappings, Tables.... involved in the process, because only SAP-Standard-Procedures / Jobs
were used (which Jobs / Procedures ever...) I know that the transfer is done using RFC-Connections.
Can someone please give me a hint where i can find detailled Information regarding
Fieldmapping between SRM and the SAP Backend or where i can find detailled Information
how a Shopping Cart is transferred to the SAP Backend and which Jobs / Procedures are
involved using Standard-Methods.
Best Regards
Marc
Hi Marc
Yours is Classic scenario. SAP standard program will takes care about the transferring SC to ECC and creating PR / PO in ECC based on your configuration.
SPRO path -- IMG __ srm server -- cross applicaiton basic settings __ Define Objects in Backend System (Purch. Reqs, Reservations, Purch. Orders)
decides whether your follwing doucment in ECC is PR / PO based on settings made with respect to Purch.grop, category id.
Also there is a badi to implement your own logic other then above criteria.
Coming to jobs, 2 importan jobs are BBP_GET _STATUS_2, Clean_reqreq_up these are two main jobs needs to be run in order to get the updates in your documents once they are created.
Also, please remember sap standard replication process takes care about fileds mapping between SRM SC and ECC PR.
There is no maual mapping process in volved in this.
Hope it gives you some informatoin.
Regards.

Govardhan,
phew, that was a fast answer, thanks for that !
Your answer was helpful, but it solves not all my questions.
I have to proof how the Interface works in detail and how it can work
using a "Not SAP"-Solution for our Ordering-Processes within our
Company. That's because i have to know how SRM is acting with
the Backend-System.
Maybe you can tell me more about that ?

Marc
