Variant configuration requirement

Hi guys,

I have a tricky requirement from my client in VC...

I have 4 levels of Bill of materials in this scenario

At the time of sale order processing User selects some options and save the Order, according to the requirement system has to select the components required for the Header material(low level code 0) and semifinished material (low level code 1 & 2)

Once sale order processing is completed, it goes to Engineering department where they will select some options for all the semi finished materials.

I am trying to assign the Object dependencied (Pre, selection conditon and Procedure) for the header material , Its picking the components perfectly, where as system is not picking the components for semi finished materials (low level code 1 & 2)

How can we achieve this functionality in sap?
