Dear all,
I have defined a maximum reduction time in the scheduling parameters.
Operations -> Scheduling -> Define Production Order Scheduling Parameters.
I left "0 Do not reduce" so that I will define the reduction at the production order level.
I have also defined the reduction strategies in Customizing for Shop Floor Control by choosing
Operations -> Scheduling -> Define Reduction Strategies.
What I was expecting from this definition is that the following 3 values will be reduced to the % of reduction defined in both parametres.
Queue time
Move time
Floating time before and after production
In my production order there is no difference between a reduced and non-reduced scheduling. Is there something I missed in the setting?
Thanks in advance
Solved.
Reduction strategy was not defined in the routing (operation details)

Hi Suresh,
Wondering why you set 'Do not reduce' option...
Kindly confirm if there was any reduction in detailed scheduling or not.
Can you change this entry to other options like 'Do not reduce beyond reduction level 2 or 3 or so...' and check the behavior?
Thanks
Senthil

Hi Senthil,
The reason why I set "Do not reduce" option is that this parameter should not affect all production orders (or order types). We want to reduce the time for production orders which are already released, this can be set at the production order level.
I also tried to by setting in customizing "Do not reduce beyond reduction level 1", I didn't see any difference neither.
Kind regards
Suresh
