Hello, I am receiving the following error message when I process a dimension in the admin console:
Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A03EC
When I looked up the error on SAP Service Market place the note suggested the following as a resolution:
1. Logon to SAP Netweaver backend BW system.
2. Execute transaction UJFS.
3. Go to Root > Webfolders > Application set > adminapp.
4. Rename the <dimension name>.xml and <dimension name>.xlt files.
5. Also,rename the above 2 files in dimcache folder.
Here are my questions:
1. This error message is happening for every dimension, so does this mean I have to rename all of the .XML and .XLT files?
2. How will renaming affect the relationship to the dimension names in BPC?
3. For a particular dimension, the .XML does not exist. What do I do in this scenario?

Renaming the files is effectively the same as deleting them - it forces BPC to refresh the cache and recreate these files. SAP suggest to rename them because this means you still keep a copy of the old files just in case.
If one of your dims hasn't currently got an XML file that's no problem - it will be created the next time you try to open the dimension through the BPC Admin.
I have had various different errors that I could resolve through renaming/deleting every single one of my dimension XML file (dimension files only!), so definitely worth a try

it can occurs if you have 2 excel installed on your machine.
