Equipment is available in EQUI table but it is not opening through IE03

In transaction iq02, for the combination of material & serial no, the respective equipment must be activated.

Please make it clear with your functional consultant. The relation of the equipment-material-serial-GR can be explained by him. This is only in case if business uses serial profile related to equipment.

I need your help.My client is telling that he has already created the equipment view was automatically generated for this material in 2009.  But why do he has to do this manually.If he  is activating it manually he h as to I go into the location record and enter a plant and other data.

The equipment number is also not available in EQBS can you explain me why it is not in EQBS please?
