Hi,

We are updated the Patch12 for SAP BI4.0 SP2, It has finished without errors. But when ever we are trying to connect CMS it is throwing following error.

[Node Name: xxxx]

[User Name: SYSTEM]

Server Intelligence Agent: CMS mcflbo01.CentralManagementServer has failed and the Server Intelligence Agent has not been able to connect to the cluster. Please verify your CMS port and database settings are correct.

Could you please suggest me how to resolve this issue.

Thanks,

SriRam

Hello SriRam,

If the CMS doesn't start, check the connection details for the CMS db (in the properties of the SIA).

Try also to see if you are able to connect from the BOE server to the CMS db with one of the db client tools.

If it works, telnet the port used by the CMS (by default 6400) to ensure it's available.

Finally, enable CMS traces to check the reason it might crash.

Hi Philipe,

iim facing the same problem as Sririan so i've checked in SIA the db connection and i found in the CMS DB system confguration that i'm not being able to connnect, so that's the problem. I've tied with several passwords but not once worked. I've tried to connect through a db client tool and no luck as well.

do you have any suggestion for me?

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

if you can't connect using DB client tools, then the issue is not with BOE, but with your Database.

You need to get your DBA involved to resolve connectivity problem , then configure BOE to connect to it.
