Recently our ERP team has escalated that heavy load of IDOC requests for BW in one of the source system has been created, but we are pulling regular loads to BW system, i want to know why there is heavy load of IDOC requests created in source system, can any body help in this please in finding the reason why the heavy load of IDOC will be created in the source system
Thanks
Maruthi
Hi,
If problem is just due to IDOC then try to resize packet size that ECC system can send to BW. This may decrease your no IDOC processed by ECC system.

Hello Maruthi
This is a very common problem. Normally what happens if the IDocs are not processed in time, they get accumulated and all the blame on BW !! huh
But if ECC has data, BW will pull them, otherwise what we will show in report? 😮
From your side you can check..
If you are pulling large data during business hours causing system to block trfc. Try to reschedule large loads during off hours
Too many full loads might create problem, check if any kind of delta is possible ( like pseudo delta)
Whenever your InfoPackage is running in BW side, check Sm58 in ECC side. Notice the time an IDOC is staying there after the status is "Transaction Recorded" . Basically after this status , system should process IDOC within a minute.
Check if enough dialog work profess is available in both BW and ECC system ( ask Basis to monitor that)
Check if RFC load balancing is in place ( ask Basis to check that)
