Searching for lowercase variable values in web report

Hi,

When searching for a variable value from the variable entry screen on a web report, any text entered is always converted to uppercase. An example is I type in France for country but it searches for FRANCE. I believe the searches are case sensitive so how can I search for lowercase letters when they are automatically converted to uppercase?

I hope my question makes sense

Hi Ian,

check into master data tables of your object if your doubt is correct...

Anyway, in the IO definition page (RSA1), there is a checkbox

"Lowercase letters allowed/not allowed"

If this flag is set, upper case and lower case are distinguished when you enter values with screen masks.

Otherwise all the letters entered will be converted to upper case when you enter values with a screen mask.

This mechansim is in effect for all the fields referring to this domain.

So check if this option is activated...

Ian,

just the 'normal' path: RSA1->Modeling->InfoObject->double-click on your char and check the first tab (general)...

otherwise transaction RSD1, choose your object and then display !
