Hi All,
I dont have strong knowledge on MCSC - teaming, appreciate if someone can share their view on this.
There's a problem on our customer Cluster Teaming issue. SAP is currently running on one single node as there's a network problem on the 2nd node. There's no failover incase of any downtime. Network team suggest to disable the teaming for investigation.
However, i would like to know what will happen it Teaming is disable, will it cause SAP offline? How about the IP, virtual IP and cluster setting?
Any kind input is very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Nicholas Chang
hello,
Check on all servers that the duplex settings on the network
interfaces are consistent with the network equipment that they are
connected too. Usually, this means "full duplex" for network cards
connected to a switch. Do not use the "auto sense" setting.
All networkcards should be set the same.
Switching off the teaming should not have an effect on the cluster
or virtual names.

Hi John,
We've identified the issue is due to NIC problem, and therefore network team need to disable teaming.
How SAP cluster running/relate to teaming and how it's roles in SAP environment. I've try to search in sdn, smp and "google" but i couldn't get more info SAP - Teaming as it's more to third party tool support by Microsoft. Therefore, i just want to ensure disable teaming Will Not affect SAP operation.
Thanks again,
Nicholas Chang
