Form 3A & Form 5

Hi Experts,

We have customised Form 5 and Form 3A now ...since Form 5 gives only details of employees being joined or transferred in the that month however if an employee has joined on 29th of the month the form 5 will give the joining details but Form 3A wil not show any contribution since payroll has not been run for that employee.

My user says that Form 5 should give the report considering the logic weather payroll has been run for that employee or not.

If not form 5 should not give those employees in that month report , however I m not convinced to that ...N i want to know how other Indian companies are handling this issue.

Usually the Form 5 gives the data of the employees who joined in that month.Form 3A gives the employees who are eligible based on payroll run.

Do one thing dont hire the employees whom u dont want to run payroll in that month and your requirement will be matched for both the FORMS.

(or) In the FORM 5 select the data based on selection period only and u can get your Output

Ask your client to write to SAP, that's the better solution

Hi

I have raised here after raising a OSS against that ..and they suggested that Form 3A of the next month will take care of it with the Arrears..but my users says it may mismatch in Form 10 etc.

I was intrested to know how other companies are handling the similar kind of issues, as it is a very common call.

Also pls suggest should i go for the logic that Form 5 does not consider the new joinees whose ppayroll has not been run in the same month.

Kindly suggest...

Form 10: return of employees leaving the service (employees leaving the trust in the month)

Form 5: Return of employees qualifying for membership. (employees joining the trust in the month.)

Form 3A: Contribution statement for unexumpted establishment and

Form 6A: Consolidated contribution Statement are

Employee wise Annual report for the Amounts deducted/contributed by the Employee and the Employer towards the EPF, VPF and EPS Accounts. It is in generally generated every year before March payroll. March Last year to February Current Year.

What I need to understand is Do you generate Form 3A every month? IMHO, also any Discrepancy between form 3A and 5 cant have any effect on Form 10 since arrears are paid and the payroll driver collects this arrears amounts and carries the value forward in ORT for the calculations in the successive runs.

yeah but they are saying P.F. Authorities may question them ....and in that case they want to show that new joinee details in the next month.
