Hi,

More information is required-

Version of Crystal Reports with detail patch level?

Web or Win app?

Are you passing the parameter values from the code?

Does the prompts show up when the report is previewed in the designer?

This might happen because of broken promt files in the CrystalReportsViewer folder.

Try installing crystal reports.

As you are migrating the application, i would suggest you to open the report in [Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010|http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/cr4vs2010/CRforVS_13_0.exe] and see if the report prompts for the parameter values.

Hope it helps,

Thanks,

Bhushan.

Thanks for the reply. I need to see the prompt window which convert/upgrade the crystal report in Visual studio 2010. I am migrating solution from vs 2008 to vs 2010. I have installed the crystal report version 13 I think downloaded from here. The previous cr version is 2008 for visual studio.

I did see a window prompt me to convert/upgrade crystal report. And I did the conversion. But later I undo all the changes. Now I want to convert again, but the prompt is not showing any more. The funny thing is other post is asking how to stop the prompt, but I am wishing to see it prompting again.

I tried to reinstall the sap cr for vs 2010, but no luck.

I think the report must have been converted to the latest version, sounds vague, but could be a possibility.

I would like to know bit more about the statement:

But later I undo all the changes

Thanks,

Saurabh

The report has been converted to lastest version automatically. I can see all the changes made automatically in the pending changes window in VS. And I selected all those changes and undo the changes so that version control TFS get the server version and replaced my local changes.
