AFAB: Background Processing (RAPOST2000) scheduled but can't be started

Hi All,

I have a problem with running AFAB. It is the first depreciation run, and I wish to run it for a previous period. In test run, it shows that there isn't any error. However, when we attempted to run it in background mode, with 'immediate' selected, the program did not run. I have checked SM37, and could only find the job when I selected 'schedule' box. Even then, it does not have a start date or start time. I have also checked SM35 and nothing relating to Depreciation run is listed there.

Where have we gone wrong?

Rgds

Hi,

you want to post depreciation for previous periods you need to remember guidlines:

1 - Check dep already posted in table (TABA)

2 - If dep already posted, due to some dep key's are change in asset master / dep % are change , in this case you need to execute recalculate dep first then execute dep.

For recalculate dep: AFAR

Execute Dep: AFAB with repeet run option (if it is morethan once time / select planned post run)

Still sytem not started with BG, discuss with BASIS & ABAPer.

Dear Effurun2002

also check after select imm. button you have to save (give your output devise)that job then only you have to execute.

Try this Systems - services - output control from menu bar
