Hi everyone i hope you can help.

I have two warehouses that have various bits of stock in there. I need to clear off all stock from those two warehouses so that every item shows zero stock against these two warehouses. not affecting our other warehouse.

thank you!

I may be a little late to the game, but I was searching something else and came across your question. In my experience, I would of just cycle counted your bits of stock to zero. It will come with a financial hit obviously. You can just go into LI01N, enter in the bins with stock that you want to clear and then proceed with the cycle count steps. When entering your counts in LI11N, make sure to check the ZC checkbox for "Zero Count". When you clear the document, your inventory will be zero for those bins/items.

Hope this helps

Hi Piepereit,

We're using SAP Business One here in this forum, not SAP R/3. Thanks.

Sorry my bad. New to the forum and did not see this one was specific to Business One. I am an R/3 guy, so I will try to watch for that from now on...

Hi,

You can check the option of Goods Issue and have the quantity in the Warehouse as zero.

Hi,

You can also run the Stocktaking functionality (Stock Management -> Stock transactions -> Stock Opening Balances, Stocktaking and Stock Posting) for those two warehouses.

You can also create one or more Goods Issue (Stock Management -> Stock transactions -> Goods Issue) to take that stock out of the warehouses.

Hi

thanks but the problem with the stocktaking function is that it won't let me enter 0 next to the items.

the problem with goods issue is that i have to enter specifically the qty that is in for each item. We have over 3000 items set up, and more than 400 of them have a stock figure. it would take me all day to record what's in stock then put the right issue figure in.

there must be a quick way to do this. even if i can just sit and go:

0

0

0

0

0

0

0

0

but it won't recognise zero as a value

Hi,

The best way is to do manually a record at a time as the same is for qty to be removed.

You can have option to select the complete list of Items which have item in stock by sorting the List of Items appearing when tabbing in the Item Code field and using shift and highlighting only lines which have values in Instock column. But the same will bring the zero's in the qty field.

You can check if a FMS to populate the instock qty in the qty field in Goods issue window can help your cause.

You can check a query (customize) for that.

Hi,

The quickest way is to create a query report:

SELECT T0.ItemCode, T0.WhsCode, T0.OnHand

FROM OITW T0

WHERE T0.WhsCode = '[%0\]' AND T0.OnHand> 0

Then use the query result to create Goods Issue file to DTW.

Thanks,

Hi.........

You can get the list of Items in those two warehouses through Query Reports and can fill the Excel template of DTW for Goods Issue and can transfer in one shot.

I guess this is the easiest way of doing that......
