I have same functional location structure in TST and PRD environment. Structure is something like below.
AAA-BBB-CCCC-DDD-EEE-FFFFFFFFFF
Now I try to search into floc field (TPLNR) using wildcard such as
*FFFFFFFFFF*
In Test it does bring out the available flocs which includes "FFFFFFFFFF" but in PRD it doesn't bring anything. even though PRD also have same records as in Test. I dont know why it works in TST but does not work in PRD.
I have ruled out security authorisation as I have similar access on both environments. also there is not any pending transaport in TST which has not gone to PRD.
I will appreciate your feedbacks
Regards

Use IH01 for hierarchy display and ensure the functional location is really existed in PRD system.
Enter the parent functional location and expand one by one.
If you find at least one Functional Location with label containing one or more "F"s then there is problem with your selection criteria.Make sure that all other selection fields are blank and then try.
Please specify the transaction code which you are using for searching the required functional locations.

There are flocs which contain FFFFFFFFFF. I can see them in IH01. Even when I search for first level which exist so many times, still does not bring any results.
*AAA*
It has same problem on every report whenever there is s field TPLNR and when I dropdown on this fields to search by "Uppermost FunctLocs by StructIndicator". For exaple IL02 or when I Installed euipment to floc in IE02 under structure tab.
I can't figure out why is it doing this? should I raise an OSS?
Note: it does work when I serach the same wildcard filer on TPLNR field under cost centre/Asset tab. Just it doesn't work under "Uppermost Functilocs by StructIndicator" / "uppermost Functlocs by category". I am talking in ILo2 drop down on floc fields and search by using available tabs (asset and cost centre tab works great by using the same wildecrd witout using anythinhg else.
