Asset class restriction to one company code

Hi

I have two company codes 0001 and 0002.

I have created 10 asset classes. 5 for Company code 0001 and 5 for company code 0002. Now i created same asset class twice for both the company codes separately since depreciation key for same type asset is different for both company codes.

But i can see that asset class for company code 0001 can be used for creating asset master in company code 0002.

So i wanted to know if i can restrict the asset class for a single company code.

Dont maintain No ranges for the Asset classes A to E for Company code 0002 in AS08

and

Dont maintain No ranges for Asset Classes, say, F to J for Company code 0001

Hi,

If you have different depreciation area then you can block it as per the depreciation area. As depreciation area is attached to company code it is blocked for company code. The configuration is to be done at

SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Financial Accounting (New) > Asset Accounting > Valuation > Determine Depreciation > Areas in the Asset Class

Hi, tcode OACV, you can do it without abap. Fields group table-A(ANLA), Logical field groups=001(General data)

I entered details then i clicked on validation tab. There i clicked on steps and i gave asset class = 11000.

after that what steps?

Hi., bukrs=0001 Error in this case class 1000 only allowed for CC=0001
