Hi,

WBS Element will be created in PS module. For example, company is doing activities on Project basis & want to allocate costs on Projects basis, then WBS will be created for each project.

While using particular equipment for particular project, that equipment maintenance cost should be settled to that particular project WBS. Then only at the end of project, finanace team can view the expense incurred for that project.

At this scenario, maintenance order will be settled to the WBS.

As that equipment would have been assigned to that project for some long duration, WBS element can be assigned in the Equipment Master data, hence no need to define the settlement rule each time while creating maintenance order.

Hi,

Is there any configuration we neeed to do for this to work as it is not working as explained here. An example is that we maintained the WBS element in an Equipment master and the created a maintenance order which is not automatically call the WBS maintained in an Equipment master it forces us to maintain it manually is there anything we are not doing right? note this includes the settlement rule.

Hi,

We put this WBS in case you have specific WBS to settle all cost incurred over the maintenece of this Equipment or bunch of equipment.

This WBS is used in Settlement Rule to settle the Work Order created on this Equipment.
