Exclude open credit items in credit exposure

Is it possible to exclude open credit transactions in the update of credit exposure? Can this be handled by modifying the liability categories in BADi UKM_FILL?

Kindly note that as mentioned the credit exposure can be restricted by changing the code in UKM_FILL badi for the method FILL_FIELD , there by restricted based on the document type .
