As per my understanding the standard feature of TARIF doesnt make use of MASSG by default even though it forms a part of the structure PME01, which is why even if you modify the structure of the feature to make use of this field, the field wont get populated in the module pool of IT0008. You might have to still enhance the infotype and code for it, to make it work.
Try with assigning structure PME04 to TARIF feature and maintain your feature accordingly......
In the structure PME01 action type is not available ...suppose if I have created 4 action types and created reasons for 4 actions like 01,02,03 and 04.If we have assigned MASSG value 01 then how the system consider 01 is from perticular action.
With my knowledge it can be defaulted (TARIF)only through Company Code,Personnel Area,Personnel Subarea,Employee Group,Employee Subgroup,Country Grouping
In which infotype you want to default action reason X2.....if it is IT8 then the field in IT8 is different than action reason ....action reason field is MASSG and IT8 reason field is Reason for master data change PREAS.Action reason MASSG will store in table T530 and IT8 reason i.e reason for master data change PREAS will be stored in table T530E. So try to understand the difference and more over I think you can't default reason for master data change in IT0008 through feature TARIF.
