Hi Roman,

We have upgraded to EHP4 in E-rec and Hr & E-rec systems are in two different instances

I have the below queries for which i need your guidance;

1. For testing, i filled up and released external candidates profile and applied for external job postings and also internal cadidates for internal job postings, still Unable to see both Internal and External candidates applications for job posting under Dashboard of Recruiter> Applications> My New Applications (0) - am i missing any IMG settings .. Kindly clarify.

2. is it possible to have different job posting content for different for external and internal posting i.e department, cost center, PSA, EG & ESG are not required for external job posting- i am aware that this is not in standard.. where should we do this?

3. Need to make available candidate resume in MSS (Line manager). In standard, we can see the list of shortlisted candidates under candidate status overview. Is it possible to see the candidate's profile just like it appears in recruiter e-rec system.Can it be done in IMG or if its custom then where do we do this? Ikindly reply.

To be honest this is the first time i am posting a query for e-rec as for most of the issues in upgrade i took help of your earlier replies in SDN. I am sure you will be having a quick answer for these too.

Hello Sri,

the solution to your first question might be very easy. In EhP 4 the entries in the dashboard do not appear automatically. In most cases you have to refresh the dashboard (be aware this is only effecting the current dashboard work list, not all if you do not use the refresh all button). Soclick the "My new Applications" and then refress this workset.

If this does not help we will have to look closer into this issue (overall I assume you have EhP4 SP 6 applied).

For question 2. It is a quite common requirement that an external publication is nearly only based on the posting texts while the internal publication includes much more specific information (org. management, cost center, pay scale group). As you are free in designing you own company specific internal and external publications they can look however you want (in the general restriction what a smartform can do of course). For different publication texts companies create different postings one for internal and one for external publication. The additional information are in some cases entered directly into these texts, in some cases maintained in e-rec fields not needed for other requirements, in customer own fields or directly gathered from the HR core system. It depends a bit on the exact requirement which is the best solution. For the fields you mentioned I'd probably go for OM integration for e-rec (assigning positions to requisition) and get the Information via customer RFC function module directly in the smartform (if the security guys allow the access to the HR system from the e-rec system).

For question 3. The manager should be able to see the decision maker data overview. Here you can include whatever you want as you can replace it with a customer developed smartform.

Hi Roman,

For Question No.1, i still have issues- even after refresh- no data available in My New Applications. We are using EHP SP5.

We have another pressing issue in production now.

We recently upgraded all systems inclucing prodcution to EHP 4 SP5, However, client is using only EHP2. Ib both EHP4 and EHP2 recruiter page, uner Requisitions> candidate selection> Select the requisition & Click on Assignments > under Asignments to requisition> Internal Error, pls try again later is coming. Please help.

Hello eshwar,

could you please give some additional information?

What release of e-rec are you using?

In which application do you miss the candidate (real dashboard, my applications, candidate selection, portal workcenter)?

Is there an entry w/o a name or no entry at all?

For a blind guess the candidate might have forgotten to submit the application at the end (this happens quite often). To check go to T-Code BP -> get the BP number for the name -> go to T-Code SE11 table HRP1001 -> look up the Id for candidacy (Otype NE) over the relations BP-CP-NA-NE -> check the candidacy status in table HRP5133. If it is still in draft and not in process it has not been submitted and can't be seen by the recruiter.
