Organizational Structure

Hi Experts,

In Real time whether the Organizational Structure ( Company , Co.code, Plant, Purchase Organization ) are copied from the Standard Structure or Created. I mean in Implementation Project.

If copied what are all the data copied along with coping for this different Organizational elements.

I am looking for a detailed points on this Organizational elements, the way it is done in real time.

Hi

It is always advisable to copy the Company Code and Plant as all standard tables are being copied.Even SAP recommends copying the Company Code and the Plants.

I have tried creating plant in one of the implementation and wasted lot of time on that as many errors pop up.

As regards to POrg and Plant you can ccreate them.

for a standared one sap maintan back ground settngs such as which fields have to save in which table/ tables etc.

If we create new with help of "copy as" of a standard one, all such settings will be copied.

so SAP also suggests to make use of "copy as".

If you create directley it may be a problem to maintan all settngs

2) Co.Code

3) Plant

4) Purchase Organization

For:Ex G/L Accounts for Company Code etc .. for all this Org structure.

Hi,

When you copy the Org. structure form 0001 / 1000 to your req. company code , plant or sales org.

the system copy all the relevent tables with out error. and all the delfault fields & datas will coping from SAP std settings.

Number ranges interval & dependent and indepentent document types & number range will copy from existing compay code or plant.

SAP is more Complex ABAP table & structre.

If you start create plant or company code . then system will get link to all the table and structures.

Better wherever possible to copy the existing std filed or doc. type or any org. structure then change the naming convention as you client requirement.

hi,

It is better to copy the company coe data alone. other plant and purchase organisation part you can create them.There is no issue in that.
