Hi,
We are looking at upgrading our CRM system from 4.0 to 7.0.
Our current CRM 4.0 system is integrated with an R/3 4.7 system (R/3 Plug-In 2004.1 also installed).
We run all our service processes in CRM including Service Order Management with ERP Billing and Service Order Management with External Resource Procurement, i.e. our billing is done in R/3. Looking at the Upgrade Master Guide for SAP CRM 7.0 SR1 it states that for Service Order Management with ERP Billing and Service Order Management with External Resource Procurement requires minimum version SAP ERP 2004. Both these processes work okay for CRM 4.0 > R/3 4.7 and (according to the Upgrade Master Guide for SAP CRM 2007) CRM 2007 > R/3 4.7.
Is there no option but to upgrade our (ERP) R/3 system if we want to go with CRM 7.0? The other alternative being to upgrade our CRM system to CRM 2007 instead.
Hope someone can help.
Many thanks,
Damien
Hello Damian,
i can´t give you the answer if it will work for CRM7.0 like with CRM4.0.
But i know that since CRM50 there haven´t been any big changes on the CRM Middleware. I guess if the ERP-Billing works with CRM2007 it will also work with CRM7.0.
To be sure you should contact your contact at SAP. He will be able to give you the contact details of the responsible solution manager.
Best regards
Manfred
