PATH/FILE ACCESS ERROR CITRIX

Former Member

Hello!

My customer is using BPC 5.1 and users are accessing BPC through Citrix.

Whenever they send data (button that run MNU_ESUBMIT_REFSCHEDULESHEET_REFRESH), they are getting a popup window that says "SAP - Path/File Access Error". When they click ok on this window, the data sends anyway.

However, we'd still want this resolved as the clients do not feel comfortable having their users see this message. We also noticed that when they are not on Citrix, it sends without any issues.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Fabiola

Hello Fabiola,

This error will occur if the users in Citrix do not have write access to the local directory in which BPC was installed (i.e. C:\program files\BPC).

Hi,

thanks for the answer, but I just set write access in c:/Program File/BPC on the BPC server but I have the same problem jet.

Is there a similar folder on Citrix server?

Thanks,

Fabiola

Hi Fabiola,

yes I think that should be done on the Citrix server, to the folder where the BPC clients are installed.

Thanks Bruno,

but one more question ... is there a specific file where BPC write like R2xSendResult50.txt on BPC server? If yes I can search where the specific file is and solve my problem.

Fabiola,

K2xSendResult50.txt is the file BPC is writing to on a Citrix servers - that's why you were getting that error. I had the same issue and it was resolved by giving users Write access to BPC folder in Program Files as was posted previously.

Thanks very much to all !!!!

Yes, I had to set write security to folder ..\Program File BPC.

My problems was that custumer use 2 Citrix server on balance and they set write security only in one of them !!!

Now are both setted and the error message was disappared.

Regards,

Fabiola

I have moved this thread to the BPC MS forum. Notice the sticky [note|; at the top of the FPM - General (PCM, FC, Other) Forum whereby we announced new dedicated forums for BPC which are the proper place to post your questions regarding BPC in the future.
