Installation problem with B1 SP01 PL08

Hi all,

I'm trying to install B1i PL10 with B1 SP01 PL08 and SQL SERVER 2008.

I've downloaded the necessary drivers JDBC (2.0) and the library required JCE (version 5, as indicated in SAP note 1240081).

The platform is 64 bit.

I've placed the JDBC drivers and the JCE library in a source directory.

When the setup of TECH component is started, after the request of path related to drivers JDBC and library JCE and after entering data for the connection at the database, i get the following error:

Setup detect error when test the connection of database

Please go to the following link to check detail error log:

c:\temp\{DD8CDCFF-72F8-4118-ABBA-93CBF8DDA815}\setup_0.log

but the file indicated don't exist in the directory!

I've verified that the TCP/IP connection to SQL SERVER on port 1443 work correctly, that password of the db is correct and all the necessary services are in state of running.

Anyone have any suggestions for me?

Thanks in advance

Hi all,

I solved the previous problem.

But now it happens that when I make the connection test to a company B1, I get the following error:

the first time I press the button "Test Connection"

com.sap.b1i.adapter.dia.exception.ConnectionFailedException: java.lang.ClassCastException: class java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:null incompatible with class java.lang.Exception:null

the next time I press the button "Test Connection"

com.sap.b1i.adapter.dia.exception.ConnectionFailedException: java.lang.ClassCastException: class java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:null incompatible with class java.lang.Exception:null

The connection test with JDBC works correctly.

I have exaclty the same error with the SP01 but PL05.

All the components are installed on the same machine: i've tried with the DI Proxy service switched off, but I have the same error.

Any idea about this?

Thanks in advance

Marco,

Did you install the JCO and do you have the path set correct to the \LIB folder for the JCO in the landscape?

Also have a look at this post for more info ...

Hi Eddy,

i've set the path JCO correctly like in other projects with B1i that i've implemented.

I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the DI API with JCO, i've checked all the configurations of SQL SERVER 2008 about the TCP/IP connection enabled, firewall, protocols etc.

Sincerely is a strange error: other times I encountered errors about the license server, the users or about the networking, but never on the Java libraries

I've tried to uninstall and reinstall B1i completely, but is the same thing.

The JCE libraries are the version 5, according with the sap note 1240081. The JDBC drivers works correctly...

The strange thing is that I can install the software without problems, then the connections to the DB work, and the same for the Event Sender that I can configure correctly. In my opinion the problem is basically limited to JCO, but I implemented the same configuration used on other occasions...

Hi Marco

Have you solved this problem? I got the same error like You and didn't have a solution.

Thx and greetings.

Hi Rafael,

i've installed the last version of B1iSN 64 bit (file 51040379.ZIP from SAP marketplace) and now work correctly. I've had some problem with the Tomcat service wrapper (file tomcat6w.exe): i've downloaded the new wrapper from Tomcat site and now it's all ok.
