CRMC_MKTPL_SETTYPE - Marketing Planning: Set Types

hi Experts

Has anyone had any experience using settypes/attributes to add fields to the marketing planner in 7.0? If so, what has been your experience? We are looking to add fields to the marketing planner in 4.0 pre-upgrade to 7.0 and I would like to understand potential behaviors with doing so.

Thank you!

Chris

hi Radoslaw,

I did not have to move any settypes over to 7.0.  I ended up just adding fields in the webui which was much easier.  If you are in a place to do it, migrate over to using AET to add fields.

Let me know if that helps or not.  I may be able to find someone that can help if this doesn't help.

Thanks

Hi and Thx,

I will need to migrate or I will need to migrate all data otherway. I want to use note 1336270 for this.

If you could give any tips from colleague I will appreciate.

hi Radek,

I looked at this note.   I would recommend using AET to add the fields that you previously had added via setttypes in SAPGUI, then follow the remaining instructions here.  This is a development task and not a config task so if you need dev help please seek a developer.

I really think these steps are clear so following them should not cause any issues.  Again, create your settype fields in webui using AET.  There is documentation on help for this:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm700_ehp02/helpdata/en/01/320bd270e84f419953906fe8050ed1/frameset.htm

That is ehp2 but its primarily the same.

Thanks,

Chris
