Billing block in service items

Former Member

Hi Experts,

Is it possible that the item categories are born with a billing block automatically? In SAP ECC I know that it is possible to define a billing block in the customizing of the item categories.

Is this possible in SAP CRM?

Thanks & Regards.

Hi Chema Romero,

Yes, it is possible to block billing at Item Category level in CRM.

IMG Path : CRM->Transactions->Basic Settings->Define Item Categories

Select the item category(SRVP), then click Assignment of Business Transaction Categories -> Select Sales->Click on Customizing Item

Here, under Billing data/Credit view, in the "Billing Relevance" field please select the drop down "Not Relevant for billing".

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Chethan

Hi Chethan,

What we need is that the item categories are born blocked for billing but once created the service order, and when neccessary the service agent can unlock the item and this can be billed.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Chema Romero,

I am afraid to say that standard CRM doesnt support your requirement. However, we have various options to restrict billing at Item Category level, for eg., Transaction related (Billing after completion, Billing according to delivery quantity, order quantity) and Delivery related billing.

May be have to do zprogramming to achieve the said requirement.

Please let the forum know if you find out the way of doing it

Hi,

You may be able to default the Bliining Blick for that item category using some coding. You need to code at the DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT method of the related view.
