Hello there,

I have a scenario, client requirement is to have multiple partner function to be validated for license assignment.

I have setting done as below:

Step 1. Created Partner function group (ABCD1)as below:

1.1. LF Vendor - set as 3 - Import /export

1.2 AG Sold to party - set as 2 export

1.3 WE - Shipto party - set as 3 import/export

1.4 WL - goods supplier - set as 3 - import/export

1.5 EN - Ultimate consignee - set as 2 Export

Step 2. Upon license type creation - Ticked the partner function checkbox i.e. ADITI

Step 3: Entered Partner group ABCD1 (created in step1)

Step 4: Entered Check for partner group = BLANK (check for all partner function)

Now, License master:

Created with 3 partner function AG, EN and WE

Process flow execution:

Sales order created. And, selection criteria is determined as Partner function WE, AG and EN.

Now, license is getting determined, however got error "Partner function LF does not exist in the document" and Partner function WL does not exist in the document".

Please advise, Thank you for you time 🙂

Hi Lokesh,

Unfortunately, you can't mix export and import partner functions into the same group, because they don't all exist on a single document. You'll never have a vendor or goods supplier on a subcon delivery (only the converted Ship To), even if they are on the PO. I assume you are just checking the outbound transaction of the subcon PO? If so, then I would remove WL and LF from your partner group.

Hello Mouz,

Indeed, very valid question - i have LF and WL in partner function, since i am expecting to have same license assigned to my Outbound delivery created for an Sub-contracting Order. Hence i kept LF and WL as well in partner function.

Hi Lokesh,

I would say that what you are experiencing is as expected: As the customizing field "Check for partner group" = blank then system will try to check all the partners of the document...

What behaviour were you expecting or willing to have?

As well, it looks strange to me to assign in the partner function group partners functions such as LF and WL whereas you are dealing with a Sales Order...

Regards.
