Hello all,
I got error in asset acounting when I'm assigning chart of depreciation to a company code.
Error: Fiscal year variant CH is not maintained for calendar year 2009
I have define the fiscal year as year dependent
I have defined the chart of depreciation by copying: sample chart of depreciation: Australia. (OAU).
I will appreciate with your answers

Hello Ramesh reddy,
First I want to say thanks.
I know this problem will get solved by changing the fiscal year from year dependent to calendar year.
I want to maintain year dependent fiscal year and I should not get any error which Iu2019m getting now.
Is there any other solution to this error? I got information from one of friend that we still can maintain fiscal year in the asset accounting level
Sorry, I didn't assign any points to your replay.
I'm still looking for a good replay

Dear,
You can maintain seperate fiscal year variant for Asset Accounting under
SPRO>Financial Accounting (New)>Asset Accounting>Valuation>Fiscal Year>Fiscal Year Variants>Specify Other Versions on Company Code Level
But your company code will not appear here unless your chart of depreciation is assigned to company code. Now it up to you to decide whether you want to edit your fiscal variant assigned to company code or else.

Hi Supriya,
I advise you special for the area's that create postings in FI to use the samen fiscal calendar year.
Last year a had a system where they created a sepperate calander for AM. The days are the same but for 2008 February in FI had 29 days and in AA 28 days (type error). The result was that there where 2 months depreciation in January and no depreciation in February!!
