Hello,
I am doing the goods issue to cost center. After posting MIGO, the queue is stuck because I haven't made any mapping from ERP delivery type DOG to a particular EWM delivery.
Should I copy the ewm delivery type OUTB and map it with the ERP delivery type DOG for the goods movement? Since it is just a stock removal, what will be the differences between an outbound delivery for goods movement and a normal outbound delivery?
Hello,
Please check below Blog which talks of Goods Issue automation after outbound delivery creation. The key is to call the required GI posting PPF at right time.

Hello,
First you will create "DOG" delivery type in transaction OVLK. Then define item category; i use "DZL".
I used this delivery type for consumption material with "261".
After define delivery type and item category, you will mapping document type from EWM

Hi Tri,
Is there any reason for not activating BC sets? I never had to activate them, by Basis team always did it for me, so I just assumed that some BC sets are activate per default. If you customizing for deliveries is empty, as it seems, you'll have a hell of a time customizing everything from scratch. I would just go through all /SCWM/DLV_* BC sets. My guess if you need to activate most of them.

Hi,
SAP clearly recommends to use BC sets for deliveries (see SAP Note 2450387 - Which document type or item type for which warehouse request?). (recommends in the sense of: use the BC sets - otherwise, see how you come along)

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
Hi Julio,
Our basis doesn't know which BC sets to activate for EWM.
They just install the system. Below is the result after installation
And it is true that it is very time-consuming to start from scratch. That's why I am also looking for the list of BC sets with sequence.
But right now I don't have any standard settings as a reference point. So I'm asking the document mapping for manual configuration.
Hi Tri,
As I mentioned before, I would go through /SCWM/DLV_* BC sets and see the description/documentation, using some common sense. For example, I would not install those whose description starts with "Obsolete" 🙂
Hi Tri,
May I ask where I can get the standard mapping for all deliveries in EWM?
In your EWM system, SPRO, "Map Document Types from ERP System to EWM". Unless you have overwritten the standard settings, of course.
I would always recommend to create new document types instead of modifying the settings for the standard ones. This way you always have a reference in the system of the standard settings.
In your case, it seems clear that somebody modified the standard delivery mapping.
First of all, think if you want to work with DOG on the ERP side. If you have a different process for GI to cost center (I assume you speak of movement type 201?) than for other GI movement types (221, 711...) then you probably need a different delivery type in ERP already. Afterwards make sure you have a proper mapping of delivery type and item category and your outbound delivery notification and outbound delivery order are being created in EWM. Once this is working, it's time to setup the system for atuomatic packing/posting of the newly created outbound delivery order.

Hi Julio,
Thanks for commenting.
The BC sets are not activated in the system so I cannot get all the deliveries and their mapping, unfortunately...
I am using standard document types & item types without any modification, for basic inbound, outbound, posting change, etc. and it has just been set up so I don't think someone has altered the basic settings...
Anyhow, by GI to Cost Center, I am referring to 201. Standard delivery type in ECC for 201 is DOG. So I am wondering if I can use the combination of DOG & PIG (pickup of goods) to determine the EWM delivery for GI to cost center. In other words, what does the Ini Com PIG refer to?
Hi Tri,
Standard mapping for delivery types:
DOG OUTB
DOG DIS ODIS
DOG PCD OPC
DOG PSD OPS
DOG PSP TPS
DOG RMC ODRM
And for item types:
DOG DOGN ODIS ODIS
DOG DOGN ODRM ODRM
DOG DOGN OPC ODPC
DOG DOGN OPC K1 ODKC
DOG DOGN OPS ODPS
DOG DOGN OPS K3 ODKN
DOG DOGN OPS K4 ODKN
DOG DOGN OUTB ODLV
DOG DOGN TPS TDPS
DOG DOGN TPS K4 TDKN
DOG KAQ OUTB ODLV

Hi Julio,
Thanks for your comment.
May I ask where I can get the standard mapping for all deliveries in EWM?
Still wonder how to process the GI for cost center. My goal is to have the system automatically post GI.
I guess I have to create a different delivery type. But I don't know if it is possible to use the code ini com. PIG (pickup of goods) for the delivery type DOG to determine the custom delivery type.
