that's true, it only fails when it goes automatically trough the port
I am dealing with a customer repository where I load into MDM few fields from the XML files deliver by XI, I am using the DEBMDM06 schema and a self created map
Having the file in the incoming prot (automatic upload deactivated) I load a file using direct conection
Type : XML,
File Name: blablabla.xml
and it went trough without problems,
then I save the map, and I configure the port to load automatically
then, the import return a error, and a file into the Structuralx folder
the same file that I have already load !!!!!
then I try to load it manually trough using the port
Type : port
Port : blablabla [Exception]
an error I get :
Logon Error : Cannont load XML file.
Error:
COM error c00ce508 Unknown error 0xC00CE508
Source msxml4.dll
Description = An invalid character was found in text content.
but If I coneect using direct conecction (XML and file path/name)
everything goes smooth and with no issue
of course I can not clean the port while this file is in the Exception folder, and I cna not load it trough the port due to this misterious error
I have check the fle with "XML Copy Editor", and it is Well-formed
does anybody knows how to deal with this issue ??
Hi Pedro,
I will say here try to recreate this map again from scratch and give it name say PEDRO. If it is working fine using MDM Import Manager, Assign this map into Port of MDM Console and then check using Import Server. It should work.
If still it is not working fine. What MDM version are you using? I would suggest you to come to MDM 5.5 SP6 Patch 4. I have faced similar kind of Problem while working on MDM 5.5.62.XX but coming to MDM 5.5.64.9X resolved my problem.
Please check SAP Note: 1299284
Fixed: MDIS encountered a problem during the initialization process which caused an exception when processing Access, Excel, and Complex XML files. As a result the files were not processed.
Hope it will help you,
Thanks and Regards,
