WEBi Export broken with 4.3 SP4 PL200 and PL400?

We just patched our Business Objects 4.3 landscape to SP 4 PL200.  Even with a lot of regression testing, we missed that Export from Webi is now completely broken unless you are a member of the Administrators group.   When regular users click the Export button, the "Export To" dialog opens, but no reports are available to export.

While this issue looks to be security related, even granting "Full Control" will not correct the export. The only way export will work is for members of the Administrators group.  This issue happens in both Fiori and the CMC.

Of course I logged a High priority incident to SAP Support, but there has been no response.  Has any one else encountered this issue?  Are there any known work-arounds or fixes?

We are evaluating BusinessObjects 4.3, SP4, Patch 300 and this does not seem to be an issue in this patch for NON-administrators.

Have you checked whether the PL400 fixes this error?

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, we did test PL400 when it came out last Friday and unfortunately, this issue is still present. We are now working with SAP Support on this issue. If you are testing PL400, be sure to regression test Webi export.

Interesting.

  • PL200 has the problem.
  • PL300 does NOT have the problem.
  • PL400 has the problem again.

mgrackin, I apologize for the confusion. I have not tested PL300 and cannot confirm if this issue is present there or not.
