Hi All,

we have a report that has around 4000 pages of data, and when i try to print manually to the printer it has going around 3200 pages and can't go further. I am guessing it is a cache memory issue, any suggestions on how to fix this.

thankz,

kalyan.

Hi

what kind of report do you have there? Are you sending this directly to the printer or creating a PDF file first?

I tried sending them like crystal reports format, and got noticed about this issue. I can't send PDF files to the printer, we have some norms here and client need them in crystal format itself.

Hi,

iI guess you are using the ActiveX print control for this. Well it is a quite an extreme situation that you have there (4000 pages). Is it possible to check the print server if there are any error messages created in its logs? It may be the case that although 4000 pages are send to the queue the printer server is not able to handle them correctly and breaks. Do you get any error message on the printer?

we have acover page which will have a total count of pages show, and for every page we have page numbers too. we got the discripency on seeing the count on the cover and age number that the last page had got printed. the printer doesn't show any error when printing and stopped at one point.

Hi,

you have quite an out-of-date version there. Can you consider upgrading to the latest service packs (5) and fix pack (5.5)? You can download the SPs and FixPacks here ( [http://service.sap.com/patches] ) If the problem persists after the upgrade I recommend issuing a support ticket here [http://service.sap.com/support]
