Hello everyone,
I'm stuck trying to figure out why SAP is calcultating 4 months depreciation instead of 9!
Following dates are relevant for the report in Dec 2017:
- Start Dep. Date: 01.11.2016
- Acq. Date & Capitalization Date: 28.11.2016
- Retirement date: 13.09.2017 (9 months depreciation in 2017) --> here's the error, the system only calculates 4 months instead of 9 (4000$ instead of 9000$)!
For the assets for which the depreciation is wrongly calculated (5%), I've set the Dep.Key. (DK02) as following:
- Basic Method: 0014 Ordinary explicit percentage.
- Declining-Balance-Method: 0.000% (no declining method)
- Period Control Method: Acquisition--> next month, retirement --> up to mid period at period start date, Transfer--> Next month.
- Multi-Level-Method--> 5.00% all the time.
All other assets which are correctly depreciated have the same customizing parameters, the ONLY parameter that is changed is the percentage on the Multi-Level-Method (5%, 10%, 20%, 30%). Aside from that, all of the configurations have the exact same values. These include:
- Same asset Class.
- Same Dep. Area.
- Same Dep. Chart.
-same Fiscal year.
- Same Calc. Methods (as said, aside from the percentage)
- Same period control settings.
- Same Dep. Master Data settings for the asset.
Does anybody have a clue which other settings could be relevant? Or why the system is wrongly calculating the depreciation?
Thanks a lot!
