Hi.
Is it possible to make a project in MII 12 or 12.1 readonly ? We are maintaining a couple of projects central and wants to make these readonly on each site where installed.

Thx. for your ideas and solutions.
I have not tried it that much. If I just export and import the complete project, it get imported as an ordinary one without NWDI support. And I have not figured out how to move it through NWDI.
I guess I can export it, reimport it on the destination as a shared project and set security on that version on the site. A little complicated if another and more simple method existed.

Are you unable to govern this project level security through NWDI in 12.1?

Hi,
You can assign a Write Roles to the development objects under the projects which you may not assign to any general user and only to the owner/admin. In this way no one other than the user having the writer role can edit the objects. But this is only possible for the dev objects other than the Files. For files (irpt, images, css, scripts) you cannot use this as it doesn't have the security configurations.
Thanks,
Dipankar
