RSM918 Error While activating the Remote Process chain

Hi Team,

We have two BW system (A and B). When I try to include the B- BW system's process chain in A-BW system's process chain as a remote process chain am getting the below error

"You do not have authorization for process chain PC_B-BW_System_Chain

Message no. RSM918

Diagnosis You do not have authorization for process chain PC_B-BW_System_Chain.

System Response Application component:

Subobject: DEFINITION

Activity: 23 Procedure You require authorization for authorization object Data Warehousing Workbench - Process Chains with the field values stated above and activity 23. "

Could you please help me to understand the authorization issue, wants to know which BW system issue?

What authorization role is required to achieve this.

Regards,

Siva M

Hi Siva,

Check the authorization profile of Background user.

Object S_RS_PC should be activity 23 available for this user.

With 7.X release it is possible to display or to change process chains and an authorization check has been introduced which is not the case on 3.X releases.

  1. Naviagte to SU01, Input the user details.
  2. Navigate to the "Roles" Tab & Double click on any role.
  3. Click on the Authorisations Tab, at the bottom of the page select "Display Authorization Data"
  4. Add actvt='23' to the authorization object S_RS_PC to fix the issue

Hi Andras,

I have added Actvty = 23 under S_RS_PC. but still am getting the same error.

Do I need to activate any settings once added the above. (I just followed your steps)

Hi Siva,

RFC user created in the B- BW system should be a dialogue user and it should have access to RSA1 because this user triggers the job/process chain in B- BW system.

Try this..

Satya.
