Hi all,
I'm installing EHP4 on an ECC 6.0 (fresh install, SP14). As proposed by SAP I use the EHPi for this.
During the Extraction phase I get this error:
RFC_ERROR 2: COULD_NOT_OPEN_FILE
The log file shows:
4 ETQ260 Starting batchjob "RSUPDTEC"
4 ETQ010 Date & Time: 20090422124632

If I look in the SAP system I see a cancelled job called RSUPDTEC
The job log shows: 'Log writer aborted with RC 1'
In SM21 I get dumps for this task. User DDIC, Session 1, Program RSUPDTEC, Problem: SA Web AS Problem
I have no idea where I need to look. Can anyone help me?
grtz,
Sebastiaan

I was able to get past THIS issue (there have been a few!) I moved the download directory to the C: drive on my central instance and restarted the install from there. The problem has to do with the DIR_PUT variable. It seems that if the local path starts with a network drive lette (T: for example), you are unable to access that drive from AL11 or the program RDDIT008.

Hi guys,
I am encountering a problem in EHPI installer phase, We have ECC 6.0 EHP4 ready installation and when i try to launch EHPI Installer, iam getting an error in Extraction phase.
It seems like EHPI didn't liked my DDIC and SAPServiceSID password.
I had maintained connection to solution manager in SM30 also, but still it complains about the password.
Please help me in this regards,
Thanx,
SAP Basis Admin.
Hello Sebastiaan,
Looks like a Kernel issue to me. Please check your kernel version and update it to latest available in SMP(service market place).
Thank You,
Praveen
