Material Requirement- Maint Plans

Dear All,

I have created many plans for the whole year and it has many tasklists with many components assigned. Now as per call dates order will be generated and then only material availability check will happen. May be during many call dates few material may not be available (because of larger lead times)and thats why plan can not be executed on exact dates. Now how to ensure today(know beforehand) itself that what are my future call objects(orders) requirements in terms of materials(spares).

Hi Raj,

Best way is deadline monitoring. I dont know whether it is applicable to ur Client. But try this,

Keep call horizon 100%.

Depending on client experience of lead time for material procurement, Run deadline with interval of 1 mon or 15 days.

ur calls are generated for say 1 month before remaining plan dates same.

Maintain the Call horizon.

Else

Use TCODE : IP24, ensure which order is open in the particular period, with respect to Maintenance plan

hi

for this purpose only call horizon is there ,which creates the order with predates where you can plan the material and resources and execute the order .also for future order components will be based on the task list attached only hence you can carry out the material requried as per the maintenance plan

Hi,

Call horizon can be used, agreed, but practically we use horizon on higher side (say 90% , not always though). it means if a cycle is one month then order will come 3 days ahead. And if the material lead time is say 3 weeks then how to make ensure that work(order) can be completed in stipulated time?

Actually, I am asking in general how to ensure material availability or to know it will avalable or not

AND not one-off case.

hi

it is co-ordination of MM people with the maintenance person ,either you can use the consumption based planning which creates PR automatically so that your stock level will be maintained or using order point for the material once the stock comes below the specified limit

I am not sure while creating the task list after assigning the material there will be indicator for specify whether it should be included in MRP run ,check whether it is working or not.

Hi

When a order is committed with components for reservation or PR creation only, MRP run will takes place. If you prefer the commitment should takes place before 3 weeks, then u have to maintain the call horizon for the maintenance plan, to call the object 3 weeks before.

If u have maintain the MRP fields in the Material master only the MRP run will takes place for the materials which are committed in the order...

I hope this is only solution, we have in PM.

Hi,

Fine... Is there any report to show that whatever components are assigned to my plans(through task lists) has these stock status, and if not available then their lead time & future delivery periods?? Because, to search each components in plans and see their stock level etc will be time taking.

Or may be we have to develop Z-reports!

Check in IP62

Using the material, u can in which task list, it is used.

Once u have maintained MRP, it will automatically triggered. it is relevant to Material Management.

While creating the material itself, these datas can be given...

I dont think there is any standard report for your requirement..

Actually I am looking for plan creation stage and not after order generation.

(( The availability of material assigned to tasklist in plans should be known as sonn as the plans are created and I don't have to wait for call object(orders) to generate. This was my query)).

Now its already closed.
