Hi experts,
I was able to intall SAP Content Server with MaxDB as database in a single Server (Windows 2016) and have it up and running.
But now I need to make a distributed installation, in other words: to have SAP Content Server installed alone in a Windows Server and separatelly the MaxDB instance in a second Windows Server.
I haven't found any info on this and the few hints on the ContentServer.ini file suggest this is not possible. Any clue on how to achieve this?
I've solved this. Note 2325807 gave me the solution to it.
Within the note, configuration number 2 is the one to setup:

Here is the installation guide:

Seems content server and maxdb can be installed seperatedly/distributed, can you check whether you can see any confi from csadmin?

Hi James, thanks for your answer.
I've actually been able to install Content Server and MaxDB separatelly, what I am missing is to make them work together.
Content Server is running and I can even create repositories as long as I define them as "FileStorage" (File system based). But I need to get it working with the MaxDB database instead of the File System, this is the configuration I am missing.
My questions are:
you are welcome, I see, in this case, let us see content server expert's input (sorry, I only work maxdb area).
Or you can raise a chat support under content server area, component is BC-SRV-KPR-CS
