Hi,

To use IAC iView you have to create a service in SICF transaction.

You can follow the steps as shown in the following pdf

[Displaying SAP Transaction iview as IAC iview|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e046cb5c-711a-2a10-95a9-81b365901b95]

But Can I know, what is the issue you are facing while using Transaction iView?

Or what is ur exact requirement?

Actually the thing is, I need a web gui look (like html look) on the portal of the backend systems.

To create dynamic look, I heard there is an iview for this? So some one suggested me its an IAC i view.

(what is the use of Web gui for HTML in transaction iview?)

please do the need full.

Thanks,

Rajesh.

Yes Rajesh,

You can use the normal transaction iView by setting the property GUI type as SAP GUI for HTML to have web based look.

Also you can create an IAC iview as shown in my earlier post.

what is Internet Application Component id here in IAC iview? What should i enter here in that field?

(instead of giving transaction code in trasaction iview.)

Hi

in the Internet Application Component (IAC) Property

provide the ITS Service Name of the IAC you wish to call.

you will find it from SICF T-Code.

I have used SAP GUI for HTML, but I am getting the errors

SSO logon not possible; cookies must be activated in the browser

Choose "Logon" to continue A dialog box appears in which you can enter your user and password

No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not secure to send a password

What are the settings I need to do?

Thanks,

Rajesh.

You have to configure SSO using log on tickets to the Back End ECC system for that error to be resloved

I have Configured SSO using logon tickets. I have done this using Trasaction iview (SAP GUI for Windows), working successfully. But in trasaction iview(SAP GUI for HTML) is showing the above error.

Thanks,

Rajesh

Hi

while calling your portal via browser , call it with fully qualified Domain Name.

e.g

if portal host is yourportal and is part of abc.xyz.com domain

then access the portal using

http://yourportal.abc.xyz.com:<port>/irj

instead of http://yourportal:<port>/irj

And use FQDN in the WAS and ITS hostnames in the system landscape definition in the portal...

Hi Rajesh,

Maybe if you explain the situation you want to achieve we could provide more information.

Hi,

You can use "Transaction iview model" to run R/3 transaction from your EP system. You have to map your R/3 system on your portal. You can also define ITS Services on your R/3 system, using SICF transaction and then define "IAC iview model" to run it. Anyway, you have to map your R/3 system on your portal one.

Hope this helps,

Ivá
