Not able to schedule Webi and Crystal Reports in Infoview

Hi All,

I am not able to schedule Webi and Crystal Reports in Infoview which have prompts in it.

I can select the value for the prompt but when I click on the schedule button it does not take me to the next page.

Also If I schedule a report to run at a specified time, it will take the current date and time into account.

Please help me in getting this issue resolved.

Hi Steve,

Can you schedule from the CMC?

Also do you get an error message?

What version of BOE do you have?

Finally, have you checked that the servers are up and running? Adaptive Job Server or Web I Job Server, Crystal Reports Job Server

Hi Alan,

Thank you for the quick response.

I can schedule the reports in CMC. It works fine with no issues.

But I want the reports to be scheduled from the Infoview.

We are using the Business Objects XI R2. All the servers are up and running fine.

What is that I am missing.

Hi Steve,

This sounds more like a display issue than a problem with the underlying services. You might look at your Tomcat logs (assuming that is you appserver) to see if any message is posted.

Also you might check if the instances are being created in the Instance Manager. So when you click run now in InfoView - it may actually be scheduling the report, but you just can't see it

Finally, what happens in InfoView if you click on a report and select history. Does this page show?

Hello,

yes this looks like a display issue. Maybe its a simple cache issue. Try to delete the Cache of your IE and of your Tomcat. Also follow Alan`s tipps to resolve the issue.

Hi Alan,

What information will I find in the log files and how should I proceed from there.

To be precise, there are two things in which I am facing problem.

1) Reports with Prompts - I cannot schedule reports(Webi and Crystal) with prompts. The crystal reports will

come back with the error(An error has occurred:Invalid postback or callback argument.) after I select a LOV. The Webi report allows to select the LOV but when I click the schedule button it hangs.

2) Reports without prompts - If I schedule a report(Webi and Crystal) to run at specified time daily, the instance runs at the time when I scheduled the report.

In between, I am thinking of installing the Web Intelligence SP5. Hope this will solve the problem.

Also for the reports which have been schedule properly, when I click on the success or failed link of the history I get the Analytical Reporting error.
