SLT Advanced Setting - ODP SLT connection

Hi Gurus,

It is my first experience with SLT and I have some difficulties to implement advanced settings.

I work with the following SAP versions:

  • SAP ECC 6.0 => on Oracle
  • SLT DMIS 2011_1_731 – SP11
  • BW 7.40 – SP15 => on HANA

The connection between the systems is done and works well.

I have already created a data flow for table QMEL with “ODP – SLT” connection (I don’t use direct replication in Hana table with Hana Studio). Nothing special to do, I have created a new data source on ODP SLT source system (nothing to do in SLT system).

Now I try to create a data flow for table JCDS but I want to restricted INIT load and DELTA load on QM objects.

So I use the transaction LTRS to implement advance settings with:

  • Performance Options => for restrict INIT

  • Rule Assignment => for restrict DELTA (simple example with specific table ZQMEL)

For the INIT restriction, it is working 50% of time. For the other 50%, the restriction is not taken into account or the data flow is broken.

For the DELTA restriction, it never works. The deltas take all the time all the modifications done in the table.

I think I have some operations to do in SLT after modification in LTRS but I don’t know which ones:

  • Maybe in the Expert Functions or Processing Steps in transaction LTRC
  • Maybe in Table Overview but I don’t have the button “Data Provisioningdisplay in the screen

I have read a lot of documents, blogs, posts but I did not find any solution. It look like that a lot of people don’t use ODP-SLT connection but direct replication in Hana table. I don’t really understand if they have differences in implementation protocole.

Thanks for help,

Franck
