Hiding specification in Result recording Screen

Is it possible to hide specifications of characteristics in Result Recording screen. this is to prevent end user manipulating observed values as he shouyld not see tolerances. he only should see characteristics description and enter values. But master data will be avilable with specifications. This restriction should be there for particular roles only. all others should have normal screen during alla ctivity.

Dear Jaison,

Try creating a transaction variant making the specification field invisible.

This transaction code can be assigned to the required user

Hope this should solve ur issue

on the result recording screen on the right hand side at the end of the screen click on the square box. there you can create variants on the screen

Hello Jaison,

Please try using the Table setting which is available in the result recording screen. You can create a variant and make the specification field as invisible. Please take the help of ABAP and Basis and explore the possibility for the same.

There is no provision for creating a variant in QE01 transaction. Can anyone tell me, how to make Specification field in QE01 hidden, while doing result recording. Is it possible to do this with the help of Abaper. But I dint understood, what u talked about variant creation. can u elaborate that..

This is not possible to be controlled via authorizations.
