repeated BexQ prompts in Live Office

Hi,

We have a Crystal Report which gets data from 4 BexQueries. When we through Live Office want to import this data in Xcelsius 2008 we get the BW prompts coming back over and over again no matter what you fill in in the prompt values. So what I'm trying to say is that when I refresh the excel document with the crystal report data, that I have imported through Live office, I get the prompts but the same prompts come back all the time. When we get the prompts in Crystal Report we don't have this issue. We fill in the prompts like needed and then the data is coming in perfectly.

We have also tried to tie the prompt values to ranges in the excel sheet but it doesn't work.

Does anyone have an answer to this question?

couple of questions:

- are these 4 separate reports ?

- are these reports using the same BI query or is it multiple reports against multiple BI queries ?

- does it work with a single report ?

Hi,

Allright, so we have 4 different BexQueries coming from the same BW. We have only one Crystal Report with data from these queries.

So... ---> One Xcelsius dashboard ---> One Live Office connection to -->One Crystal report --> Which gets data from 4 different BexQueries.

how did you put the 4 queries into the report ?

As subreports ? If so - did you link the parameters ?

Hi Ingo,

We put all the BexQ queries one by one into the report and we had one common parameter: (Month Year). So, we did not use sub reports.

we got prompted 4 times in the crystal report because we had 4 different queries. But in live office, we get prompted endlessly. Do you have any ideas of how we could solve this problem?

SAP Data Sources - WebIntelligence Query

Passing WebIntelligence query prompt values through a Live Office

connection in Xcelsius 2008 to an SAP data source does not return any

output. The ability to query an SAP data source is currently not supported,

but may be added as an enhancement for a future release.

I know you are using Crystal Reports but the way the prompts are passed to SAP is the same as in WebI.

when you go into Live Office and go to the properties and look at the prompts - how many prompts are showing up there ?
