We have a requirement where we need to find the maximum inventory value at plant level in a given duration. e.g. I want to know the maximum inventory value in a plant in a month on any given day.

you can get this info from the balance amount field in transaction S_P00_07000139 (stock card and inventory material report
I know you could use tcode MB5B to get stock for the posting date.
