Hi Narottam,

I would suggest to ask the question in the [SAP Business One Forum|;

SAP Business One and SAP Solution Manager are using different technologies.

Can you send an email to yourself in /nso01? If that doesn't work, check your transaction /nscot and make sure your mail gateway is working properly.

Then look at your autoreactions on your alerts and make sure you have your alerts set to autoreact using ccms_onAlert_Email or ccms_onAlert_Email_V2. That's what causes alerts to send emails.

Dear Lee Owens,

Thanks for your reply.

 What is nso01 or nscot?

 I can send emails by using the send u201CEmailu2026u201D option of SBO, there is no problem.

 I havenu2019t found any stored procedure (in SBO-Common or in the concerned Companyu2019s database) named ccms_onAlert_Email or ccms_onAlert_Email_V2 (are these stored procedures??).

 Please help how to solve the problem in details.

Narottam,

so01 is the transaction for the sap office that allows you to send emails.

go to that transaction in the sapgui and select New message. Send a test to your email address. Then go to transactio scot and you will see your message in one of the queues. If it goes to completed that means that it left SAP and the problem is not a configuration issue within SAP but probably either at the operating system level or at the mail gateway. If you see it in waiting or transit than you need to examine your SMTP configuration in SAP (on the same screen). Make sure your mail gateway is setup. If you are sending directly to a mail gateway than you should have the gateway configured there. If you are sending to your local spool (os level) which forwards it to your mail gateway you may need a sendmail job to run every few minutes to make that occur.
