Missing APO Product Allocation groups for some Sales Order Line Items

Hi Experts,

I really need help in understanding GATP Product allocation groups and procedure.

With my little knowledge i am checking all settings and options without success.

We have product allocation procedure (PAL_PROC) with the below 4 product allocation groups.

Product Allocation Procedure: PAL_PROC

STEP PAL GROUP

10 PAL_GP1 (Low level with 6 Characters)

20 PAL_GP2 (5 Characters)

30 PAL_GP3 (4 Characters)

40 PAL_GP4 (High level with 3 Characters)

The sales orders are created in the fronted using Salesforce and integrated to SAP.

What we are seeing currently is for some sales order line items three (3) of the above product allocation groups were missing in the Product Allocation Assignment by Sales Order transaction (/SAPAPO/ATPQ_CHKCUST). For these line items, only one product allocation group is showing up randomly in the Product Allocation Assignment by Sales Order transaction and the rest three groups were missing.

The product allocation quantity is maintained in ECC and transferred to APO planning area.

I do not know the recommended settings for APO product allocation in my scenario that needs to be maintained in both ECC and APO systems. Also not sure why it is behaving in this random fashion. It will be great if someone can help me understand better and provide some suggestions to address this issue.

Thanks for your help.

Regards

PK

Dear PK,

you can use transaction /sapapo/atpcq_check to check the correctness of your PAL customizing.

You can find more help on SAP Help:

and also on Wiki:

I hope it helps.
